About our Fremont concrete contractor business

How I came to concrete work in Fremont
I came to concrete later than most, after many years in another line of work, and learned the trade on a Fremont finishing crew. In 2017 I started Fremont Concrete, and I still run it myself and answer my own phone. Most of our calls come from homeowners in Fremont and the cities around it, along with some small business owners, and we're best known for driveways, patios and walks that are done with care and left clean.
What I care about most is doing the parts nobody sees properly, because that's what decides how a slab holds up. The ground here is flat and rain runs off slowly, so I check where the water will go before we set a single form. I also make sure the base is dug out and packed, not just raked level, and that new concrete gets its full curing time, the wait before you use it, so it gains its strength. I'd rather tell you straight when a job isn't what you need. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

What working with us is like
These are the things you'll notice when we work on your driveway, patio or slab, from the first visit until we pack up and leave the site clean.
The owner from first visit to finish
I come out to look at the job and write the estimate myself, and our own crew does the work while I'm on site checking it. Before each stage, I explain what we're about to do and why, so you know what's coming.
A written estimate you can compare
Your estimate spells out what's included and what isn't, in plain terms, so you can set it beside another quote and compare fairly. When you're ready for one, you can ask for an estimate here.
Permits and inspections handled for you
When our work needs a permit, we handle the application and book the inspections for our part of the job. If I'm not sure what a city or county office asks for, I check with that office before we start instead of guessing.
Licensing and insurance for concrete work
Registered contractor in Nebraska
The Nebraska Department of Labor requires every contractor doing business in the state to register with it, and that covers anyone working on land or buildings that belong to someone else. In Fremont, a contractor hired for work that needs a building permit also has to register with the city.
Licensed and fully insured
That holds for the work we do, from a garage floor to a footing. If you'd like to see it on paper, just ask when I'm out for the estimate and I'll gladly show you.
