Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Fremont Concrete website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you hire us.
If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract wins for that job. Anything it doesn't address falls back to these terms.
What we do
Fremont Concrete is a concrete contractor in Fremont, NE. We pour and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors and other flatwork, and we also build footings, foundations and retaining walls. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on the About page.
The information on this site is general. Every slab sits on different ground and drains a different way, so nothing here replaces what we tell you after we've seen your property. Listing a service or city on the site doesn't promise we can take every job there, and our crew works in cities beyond the ones with their own page.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and done at your property, and you're under no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see that day, including the size of the area, how much old concrete has to come out, the condition of the ground under it and the finish you pick.
Some things only show up once the old slab is out or the digging starts, like soft or wet soil, buried debris, roots or old concrete thicker than expected. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we stop and talk with you before we go further, and extra work only goes ahead once you agree to it.
An estimate is good for the time written on it. After that, material costs may have changed and we may need to update it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We give you a planned start date when you book, but concrete depends on the weather. We won't pour in rain, on frozen ground or in conditions that would leave you with a weak slab, so we may move your date and will let you know as soon as we can when that happens.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (402) 512-8158 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials or set forms, you may owe for the materials and the work already done, as your written estimate explains. Once concrete has been ordered for a pour, that cost can't be undone.
Your part of the job
We need clear access to the work area and a path for our equipment and the concrete truck on the day of the job. Please tell us about anything under the ground that public utility locating won't find, like sprinkler lines, drain tile, septic parts or private wiring, because we can't be responsible for damage to lines nobody told us about.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens to full strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and damage from using it sooner, or from following care steps other than ours, isn't covered.
Payment
Your written estimate sets out what's due, any deposit and when the balance is due, which is usually when the work is finished. We'll tell you which payment methods we accept before the job starts.
If a balance goes unpaid past its due date, we may charge reasonable collection costs where Nebraska law allows, and we may use the lien rights the state gives contractors for work on your property.
Our workmanship and what isn't promised
Fremont Concrete is licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our work.
Concrete can crack even when it's poured right. We cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, but small hairline cracks, slight color differences and changes in the surface over time are normal for concrete and aren't defects. We also can't answer for movement caused by things outside our work, like ground settling under areas we didn't prepare, drainage changes made after we leave, tree roots, de-icing salt, heavy vehicles beyond what the slab was built for or freeze-thaw damage from water left standing on the surface.
Apart from what we put in writing for your job, we make no other promises, stated or implied, about the work or this website, to the extent Nebraska law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Fremont Concrete's total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect losses, like lost use of a driveway, lost income or inconvenience, unless the law says we must be.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have that Nebraska law doesn't allow a contractor to take away.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get sorted out faster when we can look at the slab together. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try good-faith mediation before going to court, though either of us can still use small claims court for claims it handles.
Any lawsuit about these terms or our work will be brought in the state courts of Nebraska for the county where the work was done.
Which law applies
These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time, and the version posted here applies from the day it's posted. A job you've already booked stays under the terms in place when you signed off on its estimate, unless we both agree otherwise.
If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, call us at (402) 512-8158 or use the form on our Contact page, and we'll reply within 1 business day.
